At Thrive America, our mission is to empower youth and underserved individuals through hands-on job training, career placement, and access to affordable homeownership. We work with contractors, nonprofits, and community partners to build a skilled workforce—and help people achieve the American Dream.

Why It Matters?

High Barriers to Employment After Incarceration

Across the U.S., formerly incarcerated individuals face extremely steep employment challenges. Studies show that only about 40% secure work at any given time after release, and many never find employment at all—reflecting the serious barriers people in Idaho and Washington continue to face when reentering the workforce.

Nearly 4 in 10 Households Struggle to Afford Essentials

In both Idaho and Washington, a significant share of households work or earn above the poverty level yet still cannot afford the basics—housing, food, transportation, and child care. Nearly four in ten families fall into this gap, highlighting the urgent need for accessible job pathways and economic supports.

Severe Housing Shortages for Low-Income Idahoans

Idaho continues to face a major shortage of affordable housing for extremely low-income residents, with tens of thousands of households unable to access rental homes within their budget. This shortage drives instability for families already working to regain financial footing.
